Can you blame me for thinking you're wrong?

I’ve heard a lot of talk lately about how, if there was a God, He’s a real dick because He doesn’t help people even though everyone says that He can.

But here’s the thing that most people overlook.

Why would He help you if you think He’s a bunch of bullshit? Not to mention, He can’t help you if you don’t listen to Him.

I mean, think about it. Would you help someone who has sworn your name and talked bad about you and spent their whole lives hurting you, not giving a second thought as to how it made you feel? Don’t get me wrong, He would help you, but you’ve never even apologized to Him. He’s extremely forgiving, but you have to give at least a little effort. And I’ll bet none of you have ever really taken the time to pray and actually mean what you say.

And if you have, then you’re not done. Your problems aren’t going to just disappear. Nope. He’s not going to simply fix everything for you. You have to learn from it. So He’s going to make you work and fix it yourself, but He’s going to tell you what to do. Most people don’t listen to His instructions. They just expect everything to fix itself and when that doesn’t happen, they give up and stop believing in Him.

Guys, He’s not going to part the Red Sea to get each and every person here to believe. I mean dang, He sent His son down here to do all of this Godly stuff, and you have the Jews that still didn’t believe it (that’s in no way meant to offend anyone, but that’s just the facts). You have to WANT to believe. You have to WANT to apologize for hurting Him and then you have to WANT to work with Him to make a better future for yourself.
