I never said I was the best thing for you

So, today was actually a lot better than the past few days. I think it was partially due to the baking. It's therapeutic to me, and the cookies I made were to die for. Mint chocolate chip, babe. Freaking delicious.

First block was good, but I swear to you Mrs. White is on speed half the time she is teaching. Don't get me wrong, she's entertaining, but she's one of those people that you wouldn't want to spend too much time around or else you will probably get the urge to punch something. We're having a "party" Friday, as far as I know. Supposedly a breakfast thing, since it's a half day. Well, I've decided to make those mint chocolate chip cookies, since everyone seemed to fight over the ones I brought today.

I've been practicing the oboe quite a bit lately. But I've noticed that I'm not getting a good enough tone. The second I listened to myself on recording I wanted to die. It sounded horrible, to me at least. It probably isn't that bad, but I'll always be my biggest critic. I'm just going to have to work on that a lot before my audition. I still can't believe my audition time is so early in the morning, but oh well. Coffee, guys. Coffee. I really want to make all-state this year. But I'm really not sure it I will. As long as I get to sit next to Luke again this year I'll be okay. It would be horrible to break tradition!

I'm so glad newspaper is almost over! I really like the final product (most of the time), but I gotta admit, the class as a whole is simply draining. I just feel like I can never do anything right in that class, even though my final products are some of the best in the paper. Oh well, this paper will be really good. Laura and I designed a page together (the sports page) that unintentionally ended up looking like a sock. Or a headband. Well, you will see it when the newspaper comes out. I also got to write the centerspread again this issue, which makes me very proud.

Laura disturbed my while I was trying to take a nap today. You just don't take pictures of a person's butt. You just don't. But she has a very good camera, if I do say so myself. I stole it and made a few attempts at photography. Dead caterpillar thing, and orange soda. Cool. Cool.

Well, overall, I think it was an okay day. Better than the others, by far. There are many reasons why I cannot wait until the weekend.
  • Might get my permit
  • Finally getting glasses, hopefully ones that work
  • Kaytlynns, probably
  • Teaching Kjell how to bake
  • Ghost Hunters, all day, every day
  • Reading that amazing book
  • Sleep
