It's sleeping with roaches and taking best guesses

Philosophy of the day:
What if, every day, we looked around and counted all of the things that we saw that are beautiful? Would we have a better outlook on life? Naturally, we see all of the things that hold us back, bring us down. We're all speeding down the road to our future, not paying any attention to the beautiful sunset in the west or the flowers growing on the side of the road. However, we never fail to notice the deer that jumps in front of us and makes us swerve. We always recognize the log laying across the road, the one we have to maneuver around. We only see the obstacles. Why don't we look at all of the beautiful things along the way?

Every once in a while, we should tell someone how pretty they are. It will make everyone feel really good. We should read a good book, just because we can. We might learn something about the wonderful world we live in. We should lay out in the sun and count all of the beautiful things we see, just so that we don't walk around thinking that the world is such a horrible place. I'd bet anything there would be a lot less hate in the world if we realized how little there is to hate.
